Join us on October 24th for STEELDAY 2025
Each Fall, High Steel Structures holds our annual Steel Day event as part of the American Institute of Steel Construction's STEELDAYS week. Steel Day brings together bridge construction industry professionals for a day filled with learning, fun, and networking.
Steel Day starts with a morning technical session. Afterwards, enjoy a BBQ picnic and guided group tours of our fabrication facilities.
This year's special guest is Ronnie Medlock, P.E., High Steel's VP of Technical Services. As the 2025 recipient of the American Institute of Steel Construction's T.R. Higgins Lectureship Award, Ronnie will deliver a lecture entitled "Achieving Excellence in Structural Steel."
What does it mean to achieve excellence in fabrication? How does the degree of excellence impact the success of a steel bridge project? How is excellence achieved? Answering correctly is paramount for achieving quality bridge projects that are cost-effective and on schedule. The 2025 AISC T. R. Higgins Lecture addresses these questions, providing shop floor insights that transcend bridge fabrication to any custom-manufactured engineering components.
