On October 23, 2026 High Steel Structures hosted STEELDAY, our annual celebration of steel innovation, craftsmanship, and the people who shape the bridge construction industry. As part of AISC’s nationwide STEELDAYS week, this event brings together transportation construction professionals for a full day of learning, connection, and hands‑on excitement.

The day began with a project showcase featuring  the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Hawk Falls Bridge Replacement Project presented by Thomas Murphy,Ph.D., P.E., S.E. of Modjeski and Masters and Brad Dillman, P.E. of High Steel.  Our guests had an insider’s look at the design and fabrication of one of the region’s most innovative steel bridge projects. 

In the afternoon, the action moved to our Lancaster fabrication facilities for an Open House packed with experiences: a BBQ picnic, guided shop tours, and interactive welding and painting demonstrations.
