Lancaster, Pa. (October 13, 2008) –
High Steel's second annual Fall Open House was held on Thursday, October 9, with over 100 bridge design consultants and DOT officials from across the Mid-Atlantic region attending.
The purpose of the event is to educate and inform through industry updates on steel design, pricing, availability and advances in fabrication technology. This year's guest speakers at the morning presentations were Matthew Habinecht, Commercial Plate Manager of ArcelorMittal Steel and Bill McEleney, Regional Director of the National Steel Bridge Alliance.
After the presentations, guests were treated to a barbeque picnic lunch followed by a plant tour of High Steel's Lancaster fabrication facilities, where they experienced a behind the scenes perspective on the fabrication process.
